Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the United States. Chances are that it has affected your life, or the lives of your loved ones, in some way.
Did you know…
- According the the American Cancer Society, an estimated 192,000 new cases of Breast Cancer are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.
- An estimated 40,000 women are expected to die from the disease in 2010 alone.
- Today, there are about 2.5 breast cancer survivors living in the United States.
If you are worried about developing breast cancer, or know someone who has been diagnosed, one way to deal with your concerns is to get as much information as possible, and help others stay informed as well.
Smilebox user and breast cancer survivor Brandi Palmer created this awareness slideshow to share her story and help spread information by encouraging women to get regularly checked for breast cancer themselves.
Note: This Smilebox contains partial nudity in a medical setting in order to honestly convey the true nature of breast cancer. Please use discretion while viewing this video.
This month, help spread Breast Cancer awareness, education and empowerment. Share photos of walkathons, fundraisers, and everyday moments that honor and celebrate the Pink Warriors in your life. It’s a simple and creative way to help inspire love, compassion, and encouragement.

It was a last minute birthday party invite, and created a huge conflict with my “boyfriend” needless to sayn
