We love all of the fun and crafty ideas our friends at Disney FamilyFun have come up with for 4th of July! They’ve got tons of great recipe, crafts and holiday stories to spark your creativity as you prepare to celebrate America’s birthday. Below are a few of our favorite projects that will help your family celebrate a 4th of July that both kids and grown-ups alike will enjoy!

Edible Eagles

We think these patriotic edible eagles are adorable! Easy to make and delicious, this recipe for a dozen eagle cookies will have you soaring high with the kids. Head on over to FamilyFun to get the recipe!

Bike Ride Craft

A Star Spangled Ride

If your holiday plans include a festive parade or a neighborhood barbecue, cruise to the event  in style with this decked-out  patriotic peddle-machine.  Use pipe cleaners, bells, garlands and ribbon to embelish your bike as much or as little as you like. For a special touch, make a few Splatter Stars to add to the handlebars and safety-flag pole. Check out FamilyFun’s instructions on how to make this rockin’ ride!

Firecracker Favors

These firecrackers are just for decoration. That or a tasty snack—they’re edible! Made from candy rolls, these easy-to-create tiny rockets can be used as centerpieces, table decorations or party favors for your 4th of July gathering! Find out how to make them here.

Patriotic Pom Poms

Patriotic Pom Poms

This easy craft is fun,  inexpensive and good for the environment! Cheer on a parade or fireworks display with these patriotic and eco-friendly pom poms. All you will need is: red-and-white plastic bags (think Target), a dowel or stick, a stapler, scissors, and blue painter’s tape. Get the Patriotic Pom Pom directions at FamilyFun!

Frosty Fireworks

We’re all pulling for hot, hot heat this 4th of July- and if Mother Nature answers our call, this frosty flavored ice treat will be a chilling success. This simple recipe only requires two red and blue fruit-flavored beverages, such as Powerade, Gatorade, or Kool-aid and soda water. You won’t want to miss the special effects as the red and blue ice cubes melt and colored bubbles  wizz through the glass.

Now that you’ve got all of the crafts necessary to arrange your festive 4th of July gathering, pull it all together with a Smilebox invite or greeting like the one below, Fireworks on the Fourth. Thanks, FamilyFun, for sharing all of your great ideas!
