‘Tis the Season for Smilebox

We’re officially kicking off the Christmas season at Smilebox this week and have some surefire ideas for sharing memorable Smilebox creations.  Check out the holiday area of our catalog here and get started on creating a one-of-a-kind Smilebox for everyone in your life.

  1. Take a cue from president-elect Obama and create a family greeting with a new twist….a personal video message from your family.  Choose props and a setting for the video that will represent your family’s unique personality.  We’ve seen some great examples here at Smilebox — from the funny Phillips family donning their matching Santa hats to the heartfelt Hermanns sitting in front of the fire.  Sharing a video message in a holiday Smilebox greeting is sure to be memorable and will bring a smile to the face of loved ones near and far.  And remember, you can add video to any Smilebox where you can add a photo!
  2. Wish your teacher a happy holiday in a Smilebox greeting and bring those back-to-school and fieldtrip photos to life.  Your teacher is sure to appreciate a special message from your child with some favorite classroom snapshots.
  3. Get the party started with a Smilebox holiday party invite.  Your personalized Smilebox invitation can help set the festive mood for your event.  From intimate dinner parties to big blowout bashes, Smilebox has an invitation that will have everyone looking forward to the event.
  4. Show your manners this holiday season with a thank you Smilebox.  You always get great shots of the kids ripping into their gifts on Christmas morning – now make sure you share them with the gift giver!  Who wouldn’t love to receive a message of thanks accompanied with a photo (or video!) showing the toothless grin of a child opening their gift?
  5. This time of year, nothing brings the family together like cookies coming out of the oven.  Grab your camera and capture moments of your kids baking in the kitchen and share your family’s favorite Christmas treat in a Smilebox recipe design.  Or, keep holiday baking traditions alive by sharing it with all the new members of your family.

I have been a member of Smilebox for a couple of years now, and I have created many Smilebox scrapbooks and slide shows. I have had many compliments on my creations and the format in which it is presented. I always tell folks that it is “very” user friendly and fun to use and provide them with details on how they can do their own creations. I have also taken advantage of the special prices sometimes offered through members of non-members as a gift or simply a membership. The only problem I sometimes have is matching music to “kids” creations, as the choices are limited.

I really like Smilebox and I share all with friends and family. The only drawback is that I would like to be able to download onto a dvd for my mom who is in a nursing home and can’t see well and can’t use a computer or even has internet.

Is there a troubleshooting section? My computer is making a very high pitch sound since I’ve downloaded Smilebox and I’m wondering if there is a quick fix rather than just deleting Smilebox….

I just subscribed to Smilebox and made my first creation. I love it, but I can’t get it to end. Is there a way to stop the looping? Thank you for allowing us to copy to DVD. That was a huge selling point over other sites.
    Thank you.

    Dear Kathy,

As you might find out by going on our site News page, the smilebox link is in the top CZech article. The smilebox keeps looping forever driving all of us crazy.

Did you find why this was happening and how to stop the looping?

Your reply will be very much appreciated.
